Discontinuing S2000
According to this site, Honda will cease production of our cars after 2006.
Do you think this will make our cars even more rare & increase it's value?
Will the S2000 become a collectors item?
What do you all think about this?

Even after Honda ceases S2000 production (by 2014 for sure), the car is not gonna rise in value, at least not enough to make you feel wealthy. Just look at the car history, how many mass market production car can holds its value? Correvett? RX-7? There will always be restored classic/sport/exotic sold at premium price, but the cost of restoration and maintenance easily outweight the value. Recenly there was a Tri-Turbo '93 RX-7 auctioned at Berrett Jackson for $51k. I thought that car was rare enough. Maybe someday a stock S2000 would be sold for $20-30k.
Having said that, I would be contended if S2000 holds its value better than average imports, and returns me joy for the insane money I spent on mods. And people continue to recognize the S as an enthusiast model.
