Supra, RX7, 300ZXTT, STi, Evo etc etc. Whether or not they have turbos and larger engines is a moot point. A car is a car...run what cha brung.

If you're going to compare cars under 100k, you have to lop 996TTs and the GTR in the mix...the s2k doesn't hold a candle to these. Let's keep this realistic, for under $30k, the s2000 is a great car and is one of the few "affordable" yet REAL sports cars in that price bracket. Above that price, you can get a lot better. I choose to save my money and mod the s2000. This is my affordable dream car...and what a dream it has been.
These cars are much more expensive than 5k more than the S... also they are not much faster,
STI and EVOs are faster because they are AWD so faster only from stop or when launching ... from rolling, they are pretty close to S2000....(unmodded)
RX7 is not faster at all...
Supra.. I don't know.. but moral of the story, they are all close to each other.. hence.. S2000 if not the fastest it's close to them (350Z,335i, STI, EVO...) It's not a slow car... all I said was that the op expected much more from the S because he heard a lot about S2000... he mixed up what he heard... we talk about driving experience..cornering .. suspension.. many many others.. but on a straight line.. it's close to its category, i.e decent power .. not fastest..not slowest...

Put those cars all togher..

350z, 335i, rx8, sti, evo, s2000..... aren't they all close to each other?!?!? From roll..

so you can't say S2000 is slow.... but it's not the fastest of it's category too.. very truee..

Why are we even debating this... I feel like my IQ has dropped just reading some of these stupid posts.

This car was never meant to be fast in a straight line. It was build for 'driving pleasure' not pure speed.

I feel like after reading a bunch of your posts you have no idea the reason this car was build or the original vision behind it. People are caught up in the wrong thing IE 1/4 mile or 0-60 times and it comes off as small penis complex.

Maybe you should watch Mr. Shigeru Uehara speech recently at honda this Sept.

I have driven both cars and prefer the handling, looks, etc. from the RSX. Both nice cars but its really what you prefer. You may be more directed to go towards the RSX because thats what you're use to. People don't like change and most likely thats what it is. Im sure I would miss my S if I traded for an RSX.

We are talking stock VS stock here. Who cares if you can make a car fast. Anyone can do that. Been there done that.

Two many of you high school and college kids/punks still think this car is fast. Sorry to burst your bubbles but its not.

Hell I would even say my Z4M, M3, and NSX are slow, why? Because they are, period, end of story. All of mine are in the under $100,000 class as well.
Don't hate because your car is slow. I don't.

I enjoy my cars or I wouldn't have bought them.

I said the S2000 is still a great car but I forgot most of you didn't see that.
this is the dumbest argument I have heard yet on s2ki.
