dissapointed with the s2k -.-
Weak VTEC engagement on a stock S2000 is usually due to a dirty air intake filter.
Clunk on 1st engagement is due to driver error. Learn how a transmission works and how to properly operate one and you won't have that problem anymore.
I recommend the book "Going Faster" for good transmission info. The only reason you're feeling it for the first time in the S is because the S's transmission doesn't use linkage so it exposes your poor habits.

I watched the movie "Redline" because I wanted to see what idiot would let Eddie Griffin crash his Enzo and I almost lost a lung laughing. If you were to watch that movie, each car would have 13 gears and any time you wanted to go faster you'd shift up a gear. Roughly. Like you hated it.

You're right about that movie.
I laughed when the dude drives 200+ miles per hour all the way to Las Vegas.

calling a car slow is totally relative. I personally dont think the s2k is S>L>O>W> but some people usually liars call everything "slow" compared to their friend's cousin's brother's sister's roomate's 800HP EVO or whatever. Driving the cars i've driven on the budget im on the s2k isn't slow.
