Comptec intake, Fujitsubo exhaust, it had about 65k miles, WELL taken care of. I had only done about 5-6 track days in 3 1/2 years of ownership. Dropped a valve in the number 4 cylinder not to sure of the cause, maybe early version of the banjo bolts? Could have been the timing chain tensioner? I'm very reluctant to put it on the track again, at least for a while.

Ohh, that does not sound good! Sorry to hear about that.
Was it was a Early model s2000 AP1 (2000 or 2001)???

I drove the living piss out of all my 3 S2000s and was always hanging around 9000RPMs, plus track days, etc...

Never had 1 single problem on my 3 AP1s.

Just don't downshift into the wrong gear!
