Just curious how many people take out their spare tires to save on weight for daily driving and simply replace it with some sort of foam sealent.

My spare's removed, along with the toolkit and most of the tools. More space, less weight.

I'd like some nice carpeted peice to make it look better, but he!!, it's a trunk.

I removed mine and replaced it with a can of fix a flat. If that doesn't work then it's AAA. I put a power amp where the tire was and a subwoofer in place of the tool kit.

I will use the can of fix a flat only if I'm caught out in the boonies with no AAA within cell range. I understand it ruins the tire. Otherwise, I'll call for a flat bed tow.

No spare tires nor tools, unless I'm on a long trip. A first aid kit goes in place of the tools. Much lighter and more useful

The new BMW Z4 has run flats. I wish ours did!
