i do. not for every stop, but when i feel like it. mostly because it's fun, sounds cool, and keeps my skills sharp.

yeah, it seriously becomes a habit. Real street heel toe skills come from being able to moderate the brake pressure at slow speeds (not your typical competition heel-toe where you push the pedal down all the way) that way you don't nose dive your car at 30 mph trying to go from 4th to 3rd.
that's true. i find it easier to do heel-toe in a hard stop because you don't have be as subtle with the brake while swinging your foot over. so since i do it mostly just in traffic i should be a total pro on the track in theory, anyway.

Keep trying. One day it just starts working. I've been doing it a long time, but I still accidentally nail the brakes from time to time.

Do you guys heel-toe shift during regular driving. Even just to play around?

I often do it. Want to see if you do...

Bored...

Chris
on my commute to work from the pasadena area to carson, 30mi of bumper to bumper traffic, i heal-toe EVERY single braking point in traffic and around turns.

btw, you guys should know that you've been blessed with this car's pedals and transmission. this car is by far the easiest car to heal-toe in that i've driven. not only is the car ultra forgiving if you don't rev match perfectly, but the pedals are perfectly placed such that even in my 10.5" shoes i can do the real heel-toe while feathering the brake. try that in a z06--literally 10x harder. even if your rev match is like a few hundred rpm off you'll REALLY feel and hear it.

I heel toe all the time in the car but I find that the Evo was much easier to heel toe in. It was like a no brainer.

+1 one on the Puma speedcats!

+1 on the Evo comment. Before the S, I had and 03 Evo 8 and the placement was so perfect for heel-toe. That and the shifter, for me, is a tad better than the S.
