I feel the same way, thats why I never understood why people put ICE on thier S2's.
Like Emil said, to each his own. People buy S2000's for all sorts of reasons, and that's not a bad thing. Blame the Miata for making sports cars acceptable to people who aren't hard core sports car nuts.

I have "ICE" in my S, in the form of an Aurora ICPC, but it's there primarily for its data logging, track maping, segment timing, and video capture capabilities. Still, it will also play and burn CD's and DVD's, play MP3 files, connect to the internet, and do a bunch of other mostly usless stuff, so I'm sure it qualifies as ICE. At two pounds it's not as heavy as some of the speakers some of the guys use in their cars, but I still list the ICPC as ICE on my build sheets.

I don't listen to music only because I'm waiting for my Alpine HU and Ipod connectivity.

I usually drive with the radio off because there are so many sounds to hear in a convertible; it's really interesting.

I love it! Even though I have an AP2, I can't argue with that statement!

I was just kidding.

However, I must admit that the kidding was intended to ruffle a few feathers, feathers that I see as being quite similar to a peacock's tail.

Sadly some AP2 owners are like the Porsche owners who won't admit that the Boxter is a real Porsche. Ego trips involving cars can really screw up people who are normally quite nice and well adjusted, and it has become common enough in the S2000 community to be more than a little irritating.
