actually I'm not sure about the first gear thing I haven't ever tried to go as fast as I could in reverse. AS for the cruise thing i though it was around 40, my bad for being wrong. The reason I though this was because I remember trying to set the cruise really low, say around 15 and it would work and for some reason I thought I i kept trying it till it worked and don't remember it working till around 40mph

 

Yeah, I know it works exactly at 25mph, because there is this part of town where the cops will get you for doing 26 in a 25 and give you a ticket every time, so I would just set my cruise at 25 (usually in first gear to annoy people )


P.S. can you tell how bored everyone must be waiting for the weekend? Only on a friday could a thread like this get 11 replies...

 

Ya give the cruise a try in 1st at 30mph.....it is fun.... hang on though.... it bucks like crazy.... once it drops 2mph it floors itself to get back up to 30mph but then goes to 34mph....then it competely lets off..... then floors itself.....

Saab9-3 - did you get 47-48 as your top speed in reverse? my flickers between the two.

I'm not sure on the exact speed- it was a pretty long time ago. All I remember is that reverse was a fair bit taller than first gear, which surprised me. 47-48 sounds about right.
