Does this thing realy do anything?
so, when does an intake make a difforence? Is it when it is coupled with a higher flowing exhuast? Fuel tuning? I'm coming off of a car that was FAI, so I've forgotten what it was like playing with NA.
The intake on our car is pretty well-tuned from the factory, you just are not going to get much performance from one. The engine does not flow a whole lot of air (something like 650cfm I think) so even though the intake is flowing more air, it is limited by the engine; basically if you got some nice headwork and ported your throttle body, that would be the only way you *might* make any kind of decent power with an intake.
On the bright side, you can save that money up towards something that will give you some power (i.e. exhaust, test pipe, header, FI)

Its seems to be that some of the cheaper headers will lose power in some parts of the powerband. Again, the s2000 is very well tuned from the factory and without going FI you have to spend alot of money for relatively little gains.
if the seal is good, i think it'll work. if you go and have someone pull the throttle cable and feel the entrance of the snorkle with your hand, you'll feel it pulling some serious air.
but with the colder air, you'll need to tune. anything other than having tunes for your proper mods is just wasting money.
