Does VTEC scare other drivers?

I try not to tailgate people, as I hate it when other do that to me, but sometimes when you have two slow cars in front of you clogging up both lanes, I will drop it down to the edge of VTEC and when there is an opening let it rip to get by.

I do the same thing but usually keep it 1 gear higher than VTEC so I can get the pleasure that comes from shifting.
It also has the added advantage of "sneaking up" on people,
that is being quiet until just the right moment & then . . . .

From seeing an older lady, while walking in a canyon of tall buildings with only me as a loud sound almost dive out of the way (ON THE SIDEWALK), to others just jerking their heads to see what the racket is, seeing the reaction to the sound of our engine at max is always interesting. My favorite experience is like several others. After being forced to lag back due to traffic patterns, I LOVE flooring it past the "Slow-Poke." My favorite is a big bend leading to town. It feels so good to pass someone going from say 4500/rpm to 8500/rpm, all while in 2nd. Bursting past physically is sweet but hearing the engine scream as I enter/bolt out of their blind spot at the apex of a curve is without doubt one of the most satisfying experiences with the car. I've had several hit the breaks and look to the sky (expecting an F-15 perhaps). I also love it when I go for a minute or so in second....at say 5-6000/rpm and the person looks over as if to say. "SHIFT it already!
