Does your shifter "flop" from side-to-side?

For example, does it not return to middle/neutral when released?

No flop from side-to-side after 10800 miles, shifter always returns to center/neutral.

Take it to the dealer. There is a spring that should return it to the center when it is pushed left or right.

I should add this. It is doing this after being left at the dealer for the clutch update. They said it is normal, although when compared to a new S2K it feels completly different.

Oh yea, now that you say that the dealer goofed around with it...DEFINITELY...take it back. There is a spring that was not replaced correctly when they put your ride back together...

Sounds like yet another compentent dealer's service department!

Hope they get it right next time...

Thanks Greg, I have already faxed them "another" copy of TSB-055 and circled the diagram showing how the spring was "supposed" to be pre-loaded. I could scream...

My shifter hangs straight, but my chewing gum loses its flavor on the bedpost overnight!
