The new Miata's do look fairly similar to the S2K. Especially to someone not familiar with car's.

 

My cute little Miata had its way w/ all 3 of the S2000's at the track today, including a CR w/ a KW hi-boost S/C.

 

Faster does not equal cooler/better.

Would still rather have the CR with KW high boost.

 

when im driving in my camry and i see another S at the light, guess what i say to them ?

"HEY!!! Nice Miata !!!"

 

I would say miata is the first of the Modern FR Roadsters.

To me S2000 is just a miata with more power and handles sharper.
But deep inside.. they are the same thing

 

LOL, ok, so they have their differences but with this as a former miata owner- they are simular. but on the contrary, the s2k looks more masculine for some reason when comparing them both stock (imo). I think the front is responsible for that (hence the picture). Also, the miata is not capable of any significant power increase what-so-ever without modifying the block, unlike an s2k where you could just slap a turbo kit on its stock engine and all of a sudden its over 400hp. ive driven my s2k for a while now and never once has anyone mistaked it for a miata- i liked my miata but I LOVE my s2k. lol

What are you smoking? Lots of turbo/SC kits provide significant power increases for the Miata. In fact, the 1st/2nd gen blocks (up through '00, at least) are built for boost, unlike the F2xC w/ it's high compression ratio.

As for masculine front end, you can make either one look aggressive w/ more mods like your pics depict:

 

The Mazdaspeed bumper is very nice but the car is still ugly.

 

dude i think you're confused- im talking about the miata- read it over again. unless you accidently wrote s2000 instead of miata, you're not making sense
