It Doesn't look like a MIATA!
A lot of people don't know Honda made any RWD sports cars. I like it when people don't know what kind of car I have. I tell them it's a Honda and they look disappointed and I can tell they think my car is just a FWD grocery getter in a pretty package. I lol at people who know nothing about an S when they try to tell me what a "real sports car" is - they're the kind of people who don't know the difference between a roadster and a sedan.
Nothing wrong with being compared to a Miata, but I don't like being mistaken for one.

I'm sorry...but I've even mistaken a miata from a far distance away thinking it was an S2000....if you can't admit that, you're in denial.
I KNOW my cars and I've owned 4 S's. I'm sorry, it IS possible to confuse them from certain angles and certainly from certain distances.

I hate being compared to a Miata, no comparison at all...
I had an 07 Miata before my AP1. A lot of similarities between the cars. The main difference is the huge power jump in the s2k. I like the S more, but the Miata is a great car in its own right.

From far away and from certain angles, yes. But some people can stand 3 feet in front of your car and still not know what it is.
Some of you guys are like those annoying IT guys who will make fun of you if you don't understand <insert some complicated computer thing here>. To them it seems important and obvious.
I had a girl at McDonalds drive thru ask me what kind of car I had once. I told her it was a 2011 Kia, that was just imported from Korea. As she went to grab her phone to take a pic, I drove off.

lol I'm also an annoying IT guy who makes fun of you because you try to sound like you know what you're talking about when you don't. Just admit you got the virus from a pron site and the system file didn't magically "delete itself"....and it must be important to you if you needed to call me for my help.
I wonder how many of you getting all worked up over miata confused people fall below average intelligence.
I bet you screw up on more important things in your life that have real consequences.
Seems to me, that if the person is at least interested in your car it's a possitive. Take the time to educate them and share your love for this car.
Acting like they're stupid suggests you are in large part less ignorant then they. Maybe they know things you don't.
Threads like this remind me how screwed up America is. Kids getting worked up over the incorrect ID of a car; yet say nothing when they all lost 22% of their networth in 2009. No I'm not talking about the stock market.
