lol I'm also an annoying IT guy who makes fun of you because you try to sound like you know what you're talking about when you don't. Just admit you got the virus from a pron site and the system file didn't magically "delete itself"....and it must be important to you if you needed to call me for my help.
Hah! I knew it!

And no, it's not important for them to know why their computer doesn't work, it's important for YOU to know that. It's important for them to know other stuff that's their job.

This.

What's with the attitude? You guys act like the S2000 is a supercar. It's slighter better than a Miata in a number of aspects, slightly worse in other aspects. I've owned both, loved both.

And, most important of all, I don't care what people say.
Im all ears as to what performance aspects the miata is superior to the s2000.

I wonder how many of you getting all worked up over miata confused people fall below average intelligence.

I bet you screw up on more important things in your life that have real consequences.

Seems to me, that if the person is at least interested in your car it's a possitive. Take the time to educate them and share your love for this car.

Acting like they're stupid suggests you are in large part less ignorant then they. Maybe they know things you don't.

Threads like this remind me how screwed up America is. Kids getting worked up over the incorrect ID of a car; yet say nothing when they all lost 22% of their networth in 2009. No I'm not talking about the stock market.
I elect you to take on the monumental task of educating the un-educated. Swine flu killed less the 600 people last year and people ran for their gas masks. Aids killed 2 million people and still no one wants to wear condoms and you expect me to explain the differance between my car and a miata sorry if i have a cynical view of most people's ability to learn

Steering feel for one. I'll let Chris S chime in about it, he's more knowledgeable than me on this.

Yes, here's my list:

steering feel, brakes, suspension design (multi-link in back), components (beautiful aluminum front suspension arms), flatter torque curve, several hundred lbs. less weight. Stock suspension tuning sucks, but add some coilovers, and it's a better handling, more forgiving chassis.

OTOH, I prefer the high redline, shifter, AP1 steering ratio (not feel), and instrumentation on the S2000.

This is for the NC ('06+) gen.

I've been asked if my S is a Miata, a Porsche, a Ferrari, a Del Sol, etc. I don't get offended. I just take it as the people who mistake it for what it's not are just not car enthusiasts, so why argue?

If you gave me this task most people wouldn't ever finish high school, would have to do some traveling and get their heads out of their asses.

I agree what we get worked up about is often out of proportion to the facts. Your examples are good ones.

I have yet, in my year owning this car, have one person think it's a Miata. Maybe many of the members live in the 'least educated' parts of the country.

You still have to turn the wheel, and the S2000's doesn't tell you much about the road surface.

My Miata rear-wheel steers very well, esp. since adding a Cosworth supercharger.
