It Doesn't look like a MIATA!

This.
What's with the attitude? You guys act like the S2000 is a supercar. It's slighter better than a Miata in a number of aspects, slightly worse in other aspects. I've owned both, loved both.
And, most important of all, I don't care what people say.

Just like sedans look like other sedans, pickups look like other pickups, and SUVs look like other SUVs, roadsters are gonna look like other roadsters to those with little interest in understanding the differences.
IMO, aside from the characteristics that all roadsters share, I don't think the S2000 looks like a Miata, but I can see how others do.
Furthermore, what's to get upset about? It's not like the Miata is the inferior car that many people would have you believe. Just like the people that can't tell the difference, the people that think the Miata is girly also think the S2000 (and other roadsters) is girly. And the people that think the S2000 is a BMW or a Porsche are just as "wrong" (but that boosts your ego, right?).
Or maybe, people say it just to get a rise out of you (and it worked).

woodburn, take a chill pill and cut the homophobic bullshit. These aren't the forums for that.
Nothing wrong with the Miata and there are objective ways that it is superior to the S2000. I still prefer the S2000 overall and that's why I bought one, and most people on these forums made the same choice. But you'll find very little support for blind dogmatic fanboi-ism here.

The Miata is just as good of a car as the S in some respects, and without the success of the Miata, Honda may never have decided to build the S2000.
Quit being an ignorant child.

ok maybe i was over the top but even before i had my s2000 everyone i ever talked to made fun of miatas. I have never talked to any person that said they like miatas while a lot of people like s2, plus i have never ever ever seen a younger person driving a miata olny old ladies..
The Miata is easily the most popular car in amateur motorsports for good reasons. If you're ever in Austin I'll be happy to show my taillights.
