The olny good thing that came out from mazda BEFORE it was bought out by ford was the r1 and even those cars have soo many problems they cant be dd. yes i have been to auto x event and have you seen an rx8? there pretty damm good on the track as well, but they were like the biggest dissapointment., got horriable reviews and not to many people have good things to say about them. Honda as a company is on a whole other level as far as the engines and r&d that goes into there cars. I'm not some guy who just like roadsters and had a previous miata, i love hondas, which i owed about 20 of them. Its seems like most of the people who are on here have a passion for roadsters in genral so they respect miatas, but i dont and 70% of the people driving down the road dont care for miatas.
In 2000, the Guinness Book of World Records declared the MX-5 the best-selling two-seat convertible sports car in history. If 70% of people driving down the road don't car for Miatas (where did you get that statistic from anyway, your ass?), then how much higher do you think that % is going to be for the S2000?

Yes, I've seen RX-8's at both track and autocross events, but we're talking about the Miata and S2000, not their respective parent companies. If you want to go there, more Mazdas are raced every weekend than any other brand.

Your poor grammar and spelling only provide a hint at what a moron you are. Maybe honda-tech.com would be a better fit?

Actually, we, the new generation of sports car lovers owe EVERYTHING to the Miata. Its the most influential sports car of our time. It actually brought back the idea of having a personal sports car at a time when people were lost.

The problem with the rx-8 is at the same time, what's beautiful about the rx-8 (7 as well). It's not a great daily driver; Rotary's have cooling issues, chew through oil, get bad gas mileage and aren't the most reliable platform. However put a running rotary on a track and it's a thing of beauty. They got bad reviews because to be quite honest; as a daily driver it's not a great platform. As a track performer, the rotary powerband is beautiful. Honda-tech.com has opening for kids like you, please spare us your nonsense. Take your lack of respect somewhere else where other childish minds can appreciate it.

If the S2000 didn't exist I would have bought an MX-5. I wanted a sporty, good handling roadster that was affordable to maintain and easy to work on and wasn't a BMW or Mercedes. I prefer the S2000 to the MX-5 but I'm perfectly content with my penis size and my hetero-sexuality and would have no qualms about driving a Miata.

My roommate (well future roommate in a month) has a Miata, it was my inspiration to get a roadster. Miata's are fantastic cars. I agree people are just insecure.

A couple months ago my brother in law asked a Dodge Viper owner if his car was a miata. It was a joke of course. They had a decent conversation about it afterwards.

The legacy of the Miata is the creation of the S2000.

Deal with it.
