Don't feel the S2000 is that fast
I guess the moral of this thread is "If you own an S2000, and complain about any part of it, the advice you are going to get is 'buy a different car'."
No car is perfect. Well, not for under $400,000.
One can be happy with the car overall, and still be dissapointed with a certain aspect of it.
I wish they put the cup holder in a different place. When I stated that in a different thread, people told me to go buy an SUV. Yeah, that was constructive.

Ya, its not perfect but good luck trying to find any seriously direct competition for a tight performance roadster at anywhere near the price. Even when you have a 996tt or something - you can never get enough power - go check out the Rennlist boards - those guys are modding those cars the same way people do here (although its a bit different in the budget department).
The other day some guy in a new Carrara 4S tried to blow me off from a light. He did, but I was a lot closer than he expected by the time we backed off (neither one of us was doing a clutch dump). I was damn impressed that he even bothered - and surprised to be as close as I was!
With respect to that noiseless insta torque thing, its just not in the car. Of course we all know that and love it anyway. I probably will do the SC thing one of these days but its not a priority as the car really does satisfy as is for the most part.

I think I missed the point of this thread.
Anyway...
If you love the car but want it to go faster, then mod it to make it faster.
If you don't like the car AND it's not fast enough for you, get something else.
