I like bumping (and adding) to an existing thread, as often the historic discussion is still relevant and helpful...and it's always nice to keep the knowlegebase and community intelligence centralized in fewer threads (as opposed to littered all over the site)...

Agree. And when I answer in a thread, target audience is all thise people that'll stumble into the thread sometime future, whose question my be broader than the threads op asked.

So I always answer comprehensively.
