Anyone ever heard of an aftermarket chrome threshold for the door entry? No matter how careful I am, I keep scraping my clown feet across the leather and scratching it up. It would be nice to replace that area with something more durable.

I searched through previous posts but didn't find anything relating to this topic.

I have a MY03 and where you enter and exit the car is a metal S2000 piece, surrounded by vinyl or leather (not sure which).

If you look at the picture in the link by Stratocaster, it would be the area highest in the entry, right above the S2000 logo. It is about 2" wide and 15" long, but it appears to be all one part.

Stratocaster: it is hard to tell from the pic int he link what you are buying. I don't see anything in the pict that doesn't look stock.

during my first service at the dealer a mechanic came up to me and told me that the last s owner made them replace that part under warranty cause it was scratched!!!
he gave me the old part and i have it in the office now- a bit of vinylex and it looks like new.
