Drag Racing
GSRacer, check yourself man, you sound like a lamer.
The man wanted to talk about dragging the S2K, and that's what we are doing. If one doesn't offer honest opinion, then how is information to be shared?
The only thing stupid about this thread is you for flaming those who are sharing honest opinion.
I will be happy to further this conversation in the off topic section. Just let me know.

I think you are missing one important point here. When it comes to drag racing on public street, it's not a question of whether S is more suited for twisties or straightlines. It's about PUBLIC SAFETY!
I'm just against street racing and concerned about peoples' safety that's all. If this bothers you, well I'm sorry for offending anyone. But at least I did tell Intimidator2000 to go ahead and knock himself/herself out, didn't I?
Oh, btw drag racing on public street is ILLEGAL. Why do you think other law-abiding citizens have to put themselves in danger just because you want to have few seconds of cheap thrill?
If you guys are truely "racers," why don't you take your cars to the real track instead of posing as one on a freaking PUBLIC streets where your neighbor's children might be crossing the street?
I was hoping I don't have to say this but it's like what they say, "Driving is a Previlage NOT a Right...abuse it...be prepare to get purnished!"

Excellent post Gymniac, I couldn't agree more.
Though I did have my share of street racing in my younger years, maturity has taught me that endangering others for a cheap thrill isn't a good idea.
Just out of curiousity, what's your take on finding little or never used mountain roads to sow wild oats?

That's exactly why I bought my S
! Well, we don't have much of mountains in FL but there are some roads that are scenic with right amount of twists and turns. I'm always looking for that picture-perfect roads...it does take a bit of effort though.

Well, just for the record, as I feel alot of testosterone in this thread, drag racing isn't neccesarily about skill or acheivement. I happen to take my stook out to Moroso about two or three times a month for the pure adrenaline rush that comes from pushing your car to the limit. And I admit, the look on guys faces when they get beat by a girl in a honda is absolutely priceless.
I will admit, my car is not the fastest one there by any stretch, but the fact of the matter is, you have the guts to get out there and do it. I have learned that I am a better driver for the exerience and have made many friends at the track. I say go ahead and take your stook to the track. Its lots of fun!!
