Yes, drag it to your heart's content. Its gonna last just as long as any other car that you drag.

IMHO, people got freaked when Wesmaster broke his axle and diff. He's a race junkie (and he has a supercharger). An occasional trip to the strip is not a problem on the car. Heck, putting R compounds on and doing numerous laps on a circuit is harder on the car than 5 or 6 runs at the local strip.

If you are scared of hurting your S2000, then don't drive it. The car was made close to an all out race car for the streets, but it has only a few shortcomings. I seriously doubt that a few runs at the strip are going to hurt the car.

You guys ever watch any real racing on TV? They are always breaking stuff. Be it drag racing, nascar, F1, etc. Especially trannies. HEHE.

And all you fools who think racing at the strip requires no skills probably have never been. Its alot of fun and trying to nail the launch, and the 3 shifts required without missing is a blast. It will also help you with your shifting skills. When you get all 4 elements right, its a great feeling of accomplishment. It really sucks though when you know you've got your best launch ever then right at the end you miss 4th (woulda been a 13.5 in my case).

dragging your s2k will eventuall cause the pinion gear in the differential to fail and its a $1500 repair job. speaking from experience here.

 

Yes, you can race your S2000. And eventually you will break stuff drag racing your car! Just be smart and race at your local track. I don't want read another post about another person or innocent people snuffed out because of some dumbass that was street racing. Just my opinion!
