i would think about aftermarket clutch and PP then do the 4.77 with 2004 diff housing and your going to go places....lol this is my set up anyway when i get it all back togther.

actually , it has been mentioned to hold/force the shifter to stay in first, which im thinking may do the trick, but if the was some sort of safety or traction control, i would have thought it would hurt to hold it in. I havent tried, only because, this isnt just one of my old civics, its the allmighty "s". However, since i am hearing there is no traction control, then maybe something is wrong with the tranny, at which point holding the shifter in first will only tell me sooner , right!!!, well and yes, ACT is more than happy to provide jsut the clutch i need, but isnt every body for the right price, later all..

my best time in the 1/8 was 9.4 you have to launch the piss outta the car and really slip the clutch.. a few days later I had to get it replaced...
