Does anyone know the specifics of what happens to the motor?is it still good? Is the winshield support repairable? insurrance comes on monday to see it. on a side note Shouldn't the airbags have deployed? I'm not familiar with the airbag system how do teh sensors work in the system?

White - Good to hear you are OK. But I think the one we need to thank is the engineer at Honda who specified the strong windshield frame.
Matt - good to hear that you are fine.
If it were my car, I'd want it totalled, there's too many parts to fix. Based on the red interior, your white car is either an '00 or '01. Most insurance companies will total a car if repair costs add up to more than about 75% of the car's value, so that's $14-17k depending on car mileage and condition.
From what I can see in the photos, there is moderate to severe damage to the windshield, windshield frame, convertible top and frame, front bumper, left front fender, left headlight and hood. Several other body panels are also damaged less severely, the side view mirrors are amputated plus at least some of the suspension components are broken. That's not even considering all of the plastic panels and potention damage to hidden elements. The windshield frame does not look fixable and would have to be replaced along with the windshield.
Based on the photos, the frontal impact was not severe, so it's good that the airbags did not deploy. Like others have mentioned, the collision safety equipment worked as designed and you walked away!
Having lived in the NE for many years, it is completely believable that there was a patch if ice in the road. Even if the surroundings look dry, ice melt or seepage from the side of the road can quickly freeze up.
