Default Driveway Scrape

In the Bronx there aren't too many choices, I have an outdoor lot w/ a steep 'gully' to the street that is scraping as I pull in or out.
I tried going cross slope which helps, but I still seem to scrape one end or the other.

I haven't crawled underneath and looked, but I believe it's the chin/ air dam in the front and the exhaust(?) in the back, though perhaps it sounds like something worse.

Ques:
If I had to pick my poison, is it better to scrape in the front or rear?
(It's a public street, I can't fill the depression w/ anything)

come out at a mean angle

if you scrape the front couldn't you be scraping the oilpan? it's not good to scrape either the front or the rear.

The oil pan is essentially between the front tires (actually, just behind the centerline of the front wheels). Therefore, he's not scraping the oil pan on a 'depression.'

I'm willing to bet that the OP is scraping his front lip.

I'd much rather scrape my front lip than my rear exhaust (which is what I'm guessing is happening.

A coastal metals front bumper protector may help. Then again, the "gully" may just rip it off your car.

I believe the oil pan on the s2000 is impossible to scrape. If I remember correctly, the side rails (where the jackpoints are) are 1-2" lower than the oil pan, so if you hit, you are going to hit the rails. (unless the bump/hump is only about 2-3' wide, then you can be in between the rails)....Now Vws/audis are another story. My friend cracked his oilpan three times on his jetta (he was dropped though).

If you're scraping, you should just take off your front lip. But like others have said, I'd rather scrape up the front lip than the exhaust. I used to scrape in my driveway, too, but if you take it slow at a 45 degree angle, you should be able to clear most bumps.

my car is slammed and i avoid scraping at all costs even if it means backing up, u-turn and finding an alternate route...it helps a lot that my coilovers are set to very stiff...maybe try finding another parking lot
