Gee, a lot of you forgot the days when you were teenagers. I'm sure 90% of you would have done the same if you were in his situation.

I used to work at a chrysler dealership back when I was 17 and did my fair share of evil stuff.

I'm sorry but where did the OP state his age???

Besides, whether he's 17 or 70 it still doesn't make it "OK".

Yes, I did my fair share of stupid things when I was a teen...some of them I got away with and others I had to pay the piper. I am sure that there has been LOTS of dealership employee joyrides throughout the years. But don't be surprised to find some folks who take offense to it when you publicly admit to doing it on an enthusiast car forum, especially when there has been several documented cases of vehicle damage as a result.

Yea, and I wasn't even the one doing the inspection!
a.k.a. "I beat the sh!t out of it, and now the tech is gonna go do the same"

IMHO

I used to work at a lexus dealership when I was 17, and I only "beat" on the cars that went out as loaners, but 95% of the others guys I worked with didn't do the same.

As long at the dealership owned the car, there shouldn't be a problem.

This is great, I like what little was said in the first place and what it has been turned into.
We should turn this into a poll based off the facts..... Oh wait what facts are we basing all this off of?

If I bring my car in for service, I stay there until its done. If it needs to be driven I go with the car. Its hard to trust anybody these days. It might be stingy but I'm not taking any chances with anyone.

But what is bad is that the OP never got to drive an S before and probably doesn't know how they handle and what to expect. Hopefully nothing got jacked up.

I used to work for a Japanese automobile factory.
All cars pass through a rigorous inspection. That includes full blast acceleration, slaloms, washboard roads, wavy roads, all out rain, slamming brakes, gentle and harsh door/trunk/hood opening & closing, everything you can think of.
So even before you test drive these brand new cars, they've been through everything!

And we also test the rev limiters! ratatatatatatatataw. Nice sound

So a car with 6 miles or less on the dash has been through all of those tests? What about the break in period??

i am going to print this thread out, and drop it off at Honda Headquarters tonight. The building is literally right behind my work in Torrance.

They need to find a way to keep tabs on their employees.
The guy works for a Honda DEALER, not for Honda.
