UNDERSTOOD but at least if they see this, maybe they can crack down on the people that do the training.

Wow, there's some extreme people here. I for one would be quite pissed if someone took my car for a drive and DIDN'T take it to redline. It's not abusing it, it's using it for what it was designed. If I lent someone my airplane I would expect them to fly it, if I lent someone my gun I would expect them to shoot it, if I lent someone my girl I would expect them to sex her (but I wouldn't lend someone my girl), and if I lent someone my S2000 I would expect them to redline it. If I was worried about it being damaged from this, I wouldn't have bought it....much less give it to a mechanic to fix for me.

If they truly did abuse it, like redline it when cold or drive it beyond their means, or took unnecessary risks, or crash it into a pole, then yeah, maybe I'd be pissed. But I can't assume that just the act of him driving it means he committed these offenses. What's next, I'll be pissed at someone for leaving their house because then he can steal my car or rob my house? That's ridiculous.

Some good points, it would make sense if they had a reason to take it to redline. If they can't complete their tests until they redline the car to make sure it will hold then its understandable.

If some worker is just taking the car and screwing around that is something different.

This is great, I like what little was said in the first place and what it has been turned into.
We should turn this into a poll based off the facts..... Oh wait what facts are we basing all this off of?
Facts? Who needs facts? Let's all just jump down the guy's throat and flame him for simply mentioning that he finally got to drive an S and now he wants to buy one.

*gets out jump to conclusions mat*

Wheres the OP. Lets have him tell us how innocently he drove the car. I really doubt that you can get so excited by the car driving it under 25mph.

Okay, enough already. I didn't "bash" the car. I am only 20 years old but have loved this car since it first came out in 2000. THAT's why I was so "excited". Further more, I didn't take the car anywhere near the redline, the highest I got was about 4000 and then downshifted and coasted into the service bay, thats all. By the way the car is a 2005 and has 15000+ miles on it so if I had "abused" it wouldn't have done the damage you say I did. So guys, lighten up.

P.S.- Thank you Lsos and Planets for giving me a chance. To all the others who didn't
