He sent me a PM. He said he'd try it again this weekend.

Incidentally, when talking about torque and hp curves, is there any sort of name for the area under the curve? All things considered, that's probably gonna be the most effective measurement of how much HP you are doing (instead of just finding the peak HP).

Once you see the overlay (which I'll do soon) it will be pretty obvious what the difference is in a Turbo S and a SC S. And as you said, it's not the peak HP that's so different.

You definetly have my attention since I have family less than 20 miles from Orange Park. I might have to work something out.

Here's a quick comparison of the dyno curves. It's smoothed because I reentered values into Excel to generate the graph. Shows that the turbo is pretty much superior everywhere.

Well, figured I'd still post mine. This is the two charts overlapped. Note: I do have throttle body and exhaust on the car so the dyno is a little higher than just bolting on the SC.

Derryck, I'm assuming the VAFC helped to smooth out the VTEC engagement, or is that a characteristic of the Turbo? I'm thinking it's the VAFC.

Not really, my VTEC transition was much more pronounced before we starting playing with it. It seem to get worse the lower we went so we started moving it up. When we set it at 6200 RPM's, it was like someone waived a magic wand. So after thinking this through, you're right, I guess it was the V-AFC. Are you thinking about installing one? I would bet you'd pick up at least a couple of hp.
