I assume once I put new 03 one in, it won't start anymore So, do I have to take it to them and have them do it? I am guessing so, but damn satan will charge 1 hr labor to install it...grrr!

From what I understand, the dealer has to connect a special computer to the car to get the ECU into learning mode. You'll just have to suck it up for whatever they charge, sorry. Take ALL your keys with you.

You can do the swap yourself at home and drive the car to the dealership, however, if the 03 ECU you get comes with a key it knows. It obviously won't fit in the ignition switch, but according to the service manual you can tape it to the ECU, and the ECU will see the security code from it and start the engine. That'll let you drive it to the dealership.
