Default Electric Window Switch

I bought a y2k S2000 two weeks ago and the window switch is messed.

It has Auto printed on it but the window only moves when I hold the switch in either the up or down position. Is this right???? Also, when I raise or lower the hood, the pasenger window goes down (the driver side doesn't move). Any ideas???

I have ordered handbook but it hasn't come through yet and the Honda dealer is quoting

hold the switch for a a brief moment and it should auto down..

However, there have been threads on the windows not going all the way down.. if you're still covered under warrantee bring the car to the dealer.. if not look up EMC2's autoloc auto up down mods..

It was from a private seller so no warranty. Auto does not work atall. What do you mean by EMC2's autoloc auto up down mods.. Where can i find this?

Thanks
Chris

the auto down drivers side window control goes out on most of our cars between 5 and 10k miles...
my recollection is that the dealer has a tsb on this problem-
in fact, my car goes to the dealer this weekend to have it corrected!
bass- the warranty also depends on how old the car is- but it still should be in warranty (but could be running out soon).

I just got my auto down feature fixed last week. The problem is the window regulator. Honda has still not fixed the problem with the regulator. They are in effect replacing the defective regulator with a "new" defective regulator. It will go out again.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm taking the car into a mechanic next week & I'll see if he can sort it.

my window messed up at 13,000 miles and at 32,000 miles its messing up again. So back to the dealer it will go before the warranty expires. Good luck.
