I haven't been back to Honda since I dropped the car off last Monday, so no I don't have any pictures of the old filter. I will be talking to the service manager today, if they still have that filter I will definitely post pictures of it.

This happens a lot when oil change places don't use / replace the crush washer and the filter backs out. I know you can keep reusing the washer and not have a problem... but sometimes this happens.
What?

There is NO crush washer on an oil filter. The crush washer is on the drain plug, the filter uses rubber o-ring.

I too am a dedicated Honda OEM filter customer, I see no reason to use an aftermarket oil filter.

I think you need more than one person to have a class action lawsuit....unless you know of plenty others.
Not much class; a lot less action.
