Epic tale of death and destruction

.Well written story Sondra, I'm so glad that you and Greg are OK. You're a class-act with the attitude that you have about it, sounds like your priorities are in order.
Hahahahaha chroot......
Thats a good one! Think I'll try something like that when I get into my new house at the end of the month.... Got to introduce myself to the new neighbors right!
Maybe I'll just do some 7k launches in front of the house?
NOT!

I used to have a red 500 SL. Like yours it attracted a lot of bad luck, mines attracted so much bad mechanical luck that I swore off Benzes and Red cars forever! Silver cars are far better as are black... Its cosmic or something....Do not discount the evil eye of people!
You are now a charter member of WHDSC Club (We Hit a Deer with a Sports Car and Survived Club). A couple year's ago I hit one at twilight in the fall, about this time of the year. I had the top down and hit him with the driver's front fender, and he actually flew over the car without hitting the windshield on the MGA. My hunter friend only lived a few houses down the road, so we carved him up. I was able to do all the repairs myself and avoided an insurance claim.
Glad to hear you are both fine. Just stay out of those damn corn fields in IL late at night.

Wow Sondra,
I can't believe your luck...or lack of luck! Actually I'm very glad to hear that you and Greg are both ok, that's the important thing. When I lived in southeast Ohio...had MANY deer. One ran into the side of my vette - fortunately (I don't know how...) the fiberglass absorbed the impact but did not break. It cracked the paint under the clearcoat, but was not very visible, so I left it as was.
Bambi is not a driver's friend. I was never a hunter, but I sure 'encouraged' all others to 'go get 'em'...after that.
Glad you hadn't gotten almost home before it happened, IF something had to happen. Hope the two weeks pass fast (but I know they won't)

I can't believe this.
This is expected up here in Wis. I always wondered what would happen to an S2000 if it hit a deer. Man I am real sorry for you.
Well if you can make Dec, I will be sure and have some dead deer meet for you, not to mention great wine.
Glad to see you and Greg are OK. That must of happened right after I talked to Greg that night. Wild.
Take care
Keith
