What an idiotic topic. Who the hell cross-shops a roadster and a sedan?

Anybody ever seen the top gear video of the Evo MR beating a Lambo Murcielago on the track? Test drive them both and tell the dealers you are stuck between the two cars in your decision and see if you get any deals.

Since you're putting priority on having seating for 5, I can't see how you're going to be happy with a 2-seater. And another thing...the fact that you live in So Cal makes the fact that the EVO is all-wheel drive almost a non-issue, because honestly, when are you going to have a need for it? It hardly rains there and never snows.

S2000 is way nicer to drive and look at, EVO is for pure power, they are ugly and ride like hell when modified. Mine has custum JIC coilovers, all poly busshings, big sways, cage and roughly 700whp, not exactly a road freindly car, I prefer the S2000 to drive on the street anyday.

S2000 if you don't need the practicality; if you do, I'd get the STI over the EVO anyday b/c of a much nicer interior and better Subaru quality/warranty support

I had a 04 S2k traded for Evo then for 06 3series then back to S2k (05). Evo is everything you've mention, but it gets old after awhile with the looks and specially it being very fast. Evo is not quite as fun to drive as the S2k and with the looks to boot i am much happier now being back to S2k. If you're looking for more practicality go with the Evo. Otherwise i suggest you get S2k.

Just my opinion of course....

These are two TOTALLY different cars. It appeals to different people for different reasons. In fact, I can't find ANYTHING in common except they are both Japanese. If the AWD and power are your main concerns, you should be looking at STi's and other 4-door, AWD sedans, not the S2000.
