in an ideal world i'd have an Evo 9 and an S2000 in the garage.
no, in an ideal world you would have two PURE BLOOD, GOOD LOOKING sports cars, not a converted econo rice box

FD RX-7 and S2000 ftw.....and you better be packing at least 400 hp in an Evo to run with my RX-7, they just don't scare me at all, and they look like ass

How ppl answer downgrade/upgrade really depends on what they value in a car... but if you want to be honest, here's my honest assessment as a S2K owner and someone who respects the EVO.

Going from EVO to S2000 is a:

Downgrade: on power (speed/acceleration) and overall performance, practicality (4dr vs 2dr and trunk), daily commuter (good in winter and bad weather vs S2K's weekend car status), easy mod factor

Upgrade on looks (2dr + sexiness), drop top factor, tossability, reliability (honda vs mits), fit & finish

Overall, this is a lateral move to me depending on how you prioritize the above factors.

If you are looking for a good Dual exhaust I would have to recomend Toda, Mugen V2, or a J's racing dual. The price range is about 1200-1600 new and probably around a 1000.00 used (depending on condition). As far as intakes go I would go with some kind of snorkal (mugen replica CF intakes are selling for around 3bills in the market place) If money is less of a concern I would go for the Password JDM intake.

I recently installed one in my car and love it, better than the Mugen style one and the FIPK kit I had before it, but it cost 3X's the price.

Good luck and welcom to S2KI

I have a few friends on So Cal Evo their are lots of good guys on there

actually I've always wanted an s2k. Evos r very fast car yah but they lack "the sex factor". S2k are very sexy. LOL. Trust me I'm from socalevo and know alot of evo owners that want an s2k and do what I did.

- what do you think? Downgrade? Or not?
Upgrade, definitely. I like Evos, but the S2000's looks alone kill off any Evo ever produced.
