well the times for 0-60 and 1/4 are all the same so you can say you raced this and that but other owners have got faster times in the 1/4 with their 00 model then 04 but in the end its the same even though you might feel faster with the extra torque. Reason.....in the 04 you have to do an extra shift and lose the 9k rpm

actually they are reliable as any car

but the thing is when they first came out, everyone just started putting massive mods onto it without knowing.

there were certain "reliability mods" necessary first.

Ingnition timing is key when tunning a turbo wankel. This little engine does not tolerate detonation at all.

It wouldn't break my heart if they completely stopped production.

no disrespect to the '04 owners, but they are a different breed of the car.
Well, I was going to post a comment like, "Yeah, it is a different breed of car alright. Faster, better handling, better looking and more versatile". But then I decided not to because all it would serve to do is just flame the old MY wars that have largely died down finally .

We've got different flavors for different preferences, but the differences are relatively minor. Certainly not a different "breed" by any means . The various MY are really all the same basic car folks. Viva the S!!

There is a good amount of people id like to slap upside the head in this thread. Some people have to get off the whole "defend my year" horse.

Hey GUESS WHAT, my 04 dynod at 220 to the wheels stock, at a humid and hot as hell miami day. What does this mean... Jack.

Hey Ive beaten numerous stock pre 04s on the auto cross... What does it mean ... JAAAAACK

you know whats the only phrase that truely makes sense. "The grass is always greener.."

I Like 9k, i drove it and its fun. Revs for ever... Does 9k worth of revs mean ure gonna beat me in a race.... NOPE. Does the pre04's stiffer suspension mean your gonna beat me at the autocross...Nooooooooooope. Nothing is certain..

I get ragged on by the SOFL folks all the time for having an 04, do i take it to heart. NOOOPE. Why? Cause we all have the same car...capable of the same times in any type of race... We know this..

Year used to make a diff on what interior combo you had, or if u had a big or small rear window.

Im gonna take the S2000 off my car, and change it with an s2004.... Since its apparantly a diff car to some of u ...
