Excellent and Inexpensive Soundproofing for S2000
no actually i haven't used it (if all goes well i should be purchasing an S on saturday...worked out a deal and everything, just have to fly down there). i just meant i didn't think you could think of each coat as being 1/3 of what the total noise reduction is now. but in any case...nevermind, it's not really important and i don't know anything about paint coats.
i think my first two purchases will be seat and wheel locks. if the drive back in the S is too loud, i'll probably picking up a gallon of this as well.

Zeniac,
I'm looking to purchase 2 gallons and do this very soon. Did you notice a significant difference in the transmission & differential "gargle" that is usually present when maintaining a low constant speed?
Thanks,
-Chris

does anybody have any predictions how it will affect really loud exhusts? I'm considering using quietcoat, because my Spoon N1 is just too loud.
I like the sound of the exhust, but if Quietcoat changes the pitch or sound of the exhust, i'd rather just leave it. It'd be great if the volume was the only thing that changed.
BTW, can this stuff be removed? or probably not that easily removed?...

One concern I do have is weight, 2 gallons of Quietcoat is 30lbs. wet and probably 15-20 lbs dry.

So youre talking ~25lbs for 5 gallons dry. I wouldnt worry about the weight.
Edit: Ill weigh the container once I get home.

trunk and under the carpet for passenger side and driver side but to be honest it does kind
of dampens the sound of exhuast but its slightly noticeable. However droning does get
quieter. May be road noise is reduced but it is hard to hear the difference since exhaust will
be still so loud. If 3 gallons of quiet coat was used than it should be a different story but with
a one gallon of it, than it my even a waste of money.
Also, I never tried removing it, but it should not be easy work to remove it. Its even hard to
get off of your hand when it dries up.
