Here is a link to my review of the T1R 70mm:

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...pic=338576&hl=

The exhaust is loud, but I like it that way The other exhausts out there didn't really seem loud enough for me; I wanted something that sounded loud, aggressive, deep, and not ricey. The T1R70 is one of the three highest hp producing exhausts, angles out straight and not diagonal, and is cheaper than the other two 70mm applications by 400 dollars or more. It is 50 pounds lighter than stock also. The choice was clear to me

Read the review I made for more in-depth info and some pictures of it on my car

EDIT: I also want to add, that there is a 900 dollar group buy for the exhaust right now in the group buy forum.

Again, paying a thousand dollars for just sound
I would rather pay 1k for an exhaust that sounds good instead of 1k for an exhaust that is deafening and makes a few hp... thats just my opinion though.

My exhaust isn't deafening though. My girlfriend, who isn't into cars (she actually cried when I bought my car, because she thought it cost too much for me, and never really got excited about it) has never once complained about the sound. When she first rode with me in it, she actually thought it sounded cool.

We drive around, talk, and listen to music (stock stereo with 04 speakers right now) with no problem. The exhaust is only really loud to people outside the car. Inside, it just sounds like any exhaust really.

Don't knock it until you've tried it

I would definitely go with the t1r 70mm power exhaust as it has great dyno proven power, and theres a special on it in the group buy forum as well.....

How loud are the singles for just cruising around? Is it always going to be calling attention to the car or can you keep it under 3-4k rpm and light throttle to keep it relatively quiet?

It really isn't that loud, seriously. I wish I could take you all for a ride. A lot of people say that you'll hate a single after a month... I've had mine for about a month now and I could actually live with it being louder. It's really no louder than any other civic, prelude, integra/rsx, or accord with a single outlet.

Everyone that has heard my car has complemented how awesome it sounds. I've had zero complaints, including people that I know at work who dog on "ricer" cars and still think mine sounded badass.

Maybe it's just the other brands out there, but the T1R sounds incredible and isn't that bad. The drone is only loud on the freeway, but you just have to adjust your speed and throttle pressure and it's silent as stock.
