Default Exhaust Gasket

I am thinking about putting my stock exhaust back on my car. But I forgot if there was a stock gasket between the exhaust and cat?

Can anyone verify this for me?

It's not flat gasket material, but a metal 'O' ring. It flattens to seal between the two surfaces. It's entirely possible to have got stuck to one of the surfaces or lost when hooking up the exhaust. Skip replacing it and risk a leak.

I'll check my exhaust tomorrow to see if it got stuck on it. Is the metal rinng gasket more likely to get stuck to the exhaust or cat?

Is there anyway you can take a picture of the stock exhaust flange so i can compare it to mine. My stock exhaust has the flange and the stock piping, and around the piping diameter there seems to be a metal thin gasket pressed in the goove which i believe is the o-ring gasket, but if you had a picture would be able to verify it.
