Ok here is my dilemma

I dont have an silencer on my exhaust, and it is alright driving in the city. But once you get on the highway, it's unbearably loud. What would be best to silence the noise with. A screw-on silencer at the tip of the exhaust or would it be better if I welded a silencer under the car. Would the silencer welded under the car comprise any horse power.

I'd just go with a screw in silencer, it's simple to take in and out and not much trouble. The other route sounds like alot of trouble for something so simple.

Hey thanks Panhandlings2k

i just didnt know if way had advantages to the other way. i know the guy the works at the mechanic store and he said for $30 he would weld one on. but i dont really want him to mess with my exhaust system. so i think i would go with the screw on. does anyone know a website I can buy one from for a 110 mm exhaust tip?
