f20c, with ap2 trans, and 4.57
Well, i keep going back n forth on what my next setup should be.. Originally planning on going turbo, but I'm also thinkin of settin up my car to run @ tracks.. like everyone on the west coast seems to be doing.. Not looking into competitive type racing, just somethin for fun every once in a while I guess, anywayss...
Ok, on to my point, thinkin of ditchin my turbo plans n possibly do an n/a setup.. ap2 trans, lightweight exhaust, 4.57 gears, f20c engine.. n maybe a nice intake, some tuning... etc
but my main question is, all things being equal, would an f20c w/ an ap2 trans be considerably faster than an ap2? I'm not talkin about thetrack on this one, just straight line type runs.. I would think an ap1 and an ap2 (stock) are about the same speed wise, but would using the better gearing of an ap2 give the ap1 an edge?
I would think it would, but just wanted to see what is your take on this..Not sure if this topic has been beaten to death already, but was just curious on your opinion.
(if I do end up goin FI on top of this, probably just stickin to around the 300whp )
