I wonder if anyone has done a poll to see what percentage of owners actually use the cover. I have a feeling it's somewhere less than 20%, maybe even less. Just from observing S2ks on the road I see very few people use it. I use it almost all the time unless I know I am making a very short trip and I would be raising the roof on and off. It is a pain but I use it because I think it looks better and I can take it on and off really fast, less than a minute.

It would be a pain to have to fork out nearly $800 to replace an item you sold for $50 in order to sell your car if the buyer insisted on all the parts being present. I think a lot of people sell them not knowing the true monetary value of the item.

I use mine anytime I'm going to an autox, track day, or just going for a long drive. It honestly only takes a minute to put it on once you get the technique down...

The Honda factory Tonneau Covers are listed at around $795 brand new.

Quite an expensive item to replace.

Lots of folks sell theirs off for $50 or $60 and I'm wondering if people are actually aware of the value of this item and if they'd be selling them so cheaply if they were?
How is it "expensive to replace" if it can be had for $60? Let's not be

Don't forget, not everybody is a member of S2Ki and 'in the know' so to speak. Maybe less than 5% of S2000 owners world wide.
But you are addressing the people that ARE on S2ki.

If someone sold their cover on eBay, or here, or somewhere else, don't you think they could go back there for a replacement?

I suspect the occasion that an S owner that never uses the internet sells the cover (presumably to another S owner) who also never uses the internet, and then NEEDS to get a cover to sell to someone ELSE that never uses the internet is pretty rare, and in that case I guess your right, they need to cough up the $600.
