Default Few S2K questions

1.) At around 60mph with my top up, the wind noise gets REALLY loud. I think my top isn't sealing good at the front. When I pull the front of my top down the noise goes away. Any way I can tighten the clamps that lock it down? Or maybe add some weather stripping to it?

2.) I know you can turn the radio on and change from AM to FM to CD from the button on the left of the steering wheel, but why doesn't it/can I make it turn the radio off from that button?

3.) While daily driving, what rpm do you generally shift at?

1) Replace your strikers with hardtop strikers. You can get them from hardtopguy.com for around $50 or so shipped.

2) Not sure, I'll have to check.

3) 3-4k rpm.

2/ i cant on my car, but the 06 stereo may be different. i just mute it.

3/ 3.5-4.5k is typical for me, but mine redlines at 8k, not 9k. i'd probably shift at about 4.5-5k with an ap1 just to get more power.

I think there's a mod to increase the functionality of the knobs, but mine just changes from AM/FM/CD with a push.

on my 07, if I hold the little volume bar downward long enough it "Beeps" after 3-5 seconds and then the radio is off, I found that I was muting it most of the time. Now I finally have no radio since my radio had a problem and would come on every now and then even though I had it turned off. Dealership is going to replace the radio but its been 3 weeks with the radio out and I am finding I like it and could make a cool little space to store change, etc.

AFTER (note the CAPS) AFTER its warmed up, I shift between 5,000 and 5,000 RPM always unless going into VTEC, I come from the world of Italian high revving toys where the motor is designed to spin about 60% of its redline, with my S having a 8,000RPM redline that means I keep it at 4,000-4,500 at all times, I have to shift above 5k to keep it there. The one exception is long distances on the freeway, I go into 6th and let it spin slower for better mileage and motor longevity.

1) Hardtop strikers or do the trick with adding some tubing around the latch hooks.

2) I've never been able to turn the radio on/off with the dash controls.

3) Around 4,000 RPM in normal driving.
