Finally got my snow tire!!!

It hurts to see s fellow S2K's paint being eaten by salt and snow...
I swear I would never own such a nice car in bad weather...guess a garage and the texas heat definitely helps.
One recommendation, get a yearly rust protection on the underbody...you don't want to imagine the amount of rust that forms after 5 years of winter driving, trust me I know.

Pizzazz,
Pics were taken just before washing, notice the corrugated metal siding of the self washing place in the background.
**I had just returned from a trip to Townsend Leather (hint, hint)**
I know it looks bad, but I drove an '86 Prelude for over 200,000 miles in all weather while living in Richmond, Baltimore, Atlanta, and New York. Every morning Rain, sleet, or snow, it started and ran like a champ. I would think Honda has improved their cars since 1986, too.
ITR, If everyone lived in Texas, what fun would it be to have an S? Traffic would be horrible!! (see my commute in sig)

Barry,
I purchased stock sizes front and rear. Last Feb, just after I bought my car, we had about 2.5 inches of snow, I couldn't even move the car from its parking place on the stock tires. We just had our first snow of this winter, about 2 inches, and I drove over the road pictured in my sig (very twisty, with changes of elevation) without incident. I am very happy with the MZ-01s performance in the muck. They feel very cushy, like driving on pillows, on dry roads (but very sticky). And are just a bit slippery (strangely) on rainy surfaces (no ice/snow), although they do wick away water at speed very well(deep center groove helps).
I would probably buy these again, as I wanted more confidence in the snow/ice/muck rather than a higher speed rated winter tire.
Monday, I drove about 300 miles north on I87, and the tires felt confident at highway speeds up to 75-80 mph. Although compared to summer tires there is a "delay" in feel when making any turning manuevers(the cushiness I mentioned before).
There is also no slipperyness associated with cold tires in the mornings, ala S02s.
