I too have a countersunk knob (not a Voodoo) and this is about what it gets you. I don't think you'd want it any shorter.

And comparing the throws in our car to a C5 with the B&M, we've probably got a good 100% or more increased travel.
Are you sure about this. I have a Ripper in my Z28. It made a huge difference in throws and accuracy but the shifts are like three times as long as the S2000. Not that it's comparable to the C5 but I'm wondering...

The C's short shift kits have a well known reputation (specially the Civic/Integra crowd). It is believed to be the best short shift kit around. Yes it is pricey but when I had my ITR, that is the s/s kit to have. Ask the people at honda-tech... they are all praises for this beaut.

My Gawd! How short do you want this thing. When I have a bit too much coffee, I develop a severe nervous twitch. I wouldn't be able to drive this car for fear of shifting pre-maturely. And what about some of us who have Parkinsons.

Ehh... you guys don't know me. Especially with a high console, the shorter the better. I want a knob, that's it!

Yes, I've driven it. I can't speak for the voodoo, but even with the knob I had on there (drilled to the top, only about 2" diameter) the shifts were still a good 3" apart (center to center). The C5 I drove with the Ripper had a throw of about 1 or 1.5". The shifts were so close I thought the shifter was hanging up. It took a few minutes to get used to it, but once I did... I want that feeling on the S2!

I believe this is Distinto Bellezza C's S2000 short shifter priced at YEN38,000. If I'm not wrong it's quite reasonably priced? This is pretty good, and well acclaimed in the JDM tuning market. So why not? But getting used to driving even shorter throws may require some adaptive at first. Getting this and the voodoo gear knob will be a fine combination.

Dont forget that the shorter you make the throw, the shift pressure will increase as well. Ie. you need to push ALOT harder.

Doesnt mean .5 seconds off, if you can shift the s2k shifter properly to start with.

Was there any additional information about this s/s ? I wouldn't mind get one since I like my shift knob right now and I'm not to fond of the sphere-look of the voodoo.
