We should put Gregg's voodoo knob on your C's short shifter ..... its going to feel like one of those Daytona USA arcade machines or even shorter!

jfys2k, how easy or hard was it to install. If you don't mind, can you please give me a brief summary of the install procedure? I'm really interested in this for both my cars.

Yes jfys2k, I would also really appreciate some comments about the ease/difficulty of install and if the shorter throws have caused any problems with the actual shifts (i.e. grinding etc).

Thanks!

ok.. the installation is fairly easy, eventhough the instruction is in japanese... the pics are enough to know what to do...
1.) take the shift knob off
2.) pull the cover off (the piece that covers the shifter all the way down to the armrest), it comes right off.
3.) unscrew three nuts (then the oem shifter comes off) take it out carefully cause there is a spring in it, dont want it to bounce out and hit your eye.
4.) take this white adaptor off the oem shifter, this is the hardest part for me... it took one of my friend, my bro and i 1 hr to find a easy way to take it out... now i can take the adaptor out in a min...
5.) put the adaptor onto the c's shifter... again once you know how to take it out put it back in is easy... i had to use some spical tool to do that...
6.) now put the spring, c's shifter and everything back and you are done...
i might be missing a step or two but i know that i can put the short shifter on for about 40 mins... i will be putting c's into the 02' spa that i got today ... so i will let you guys know if i missed any steps...
about the grinding... i dont feel it what so ever... just that the shifter tilt to the right... like when you put it in 1st gear it will look like its in 3rd when in 2nd looks like its in 4th and so on... but one thing i got to tell you guys, after puting in the short shifter... dont go off racing it, get use to the way that it shifts and looks... cause it might couse you to miss shift pretty easily... and we do not want that to happen now do we...
hope that help you guys out a little...
