finally tracked with no VSA... what oversteer?
3rd track day and i finally had the courage to switch off the vsa for the first time
suprisingly i did not go off into the undergrave, in fact i found myself delibrately getting the car sideways temporarily in slow corners and found plenty of grip
so where is the snap oversteer people always complain of?
maybe its because i dont have stock tires and only about 50% thread left. either way i found it very easy and controllable at the limit

I have a 2005 with none of the electronic nannies. Very easy car to control. It's the 2001-2002 that were notorious for the snap oversteer, spin-2k
That was due to a combination of spring rates and rear bump steer. With each iteration afterwards, Honda made the car more stable. The 2006 is actually probably one of the most stable stock configurations.

Yeah, MY06 cars aren't exactly known for their oversteer tendancies.
VSA is very good to leave on for daily driving in case you hit a puddle/patch of gravel/oil slick/black ice/moment of stupidity/whatever.
For track it's not required, if you have enough car control skill.
For autocross, it's highly discouraged.
