Default finding keyless entry wires

To anyone who has tapped into their keyless entry module before- I'm trying to get into my keyless entry wires. I've heard it's way up under the dash (the module atleast)- do you think i'd have to pull out my dash to tap those wires or can I circumvent that? I have no idea how to take apart my dash.

I doubt they would be UP in the dash. You should be able to get at the door lock wiring either UNDER the drivers side dash. I think the shop that put in my alarm spliced in under the door sill

Compartment next to driver's left foot. Three connectors. You can test with a voltmeter.

The keyless entry unit is above the driver's left knee...it's a small box tucked up under the dash, but easily seen and reachable. Getting it off of the mount it's on is another story, so the easiest thing to do is remove the screw that attaches the mount to the sidewall. You then have access to all of the wires you'll ever need for the keyless entry unit.
