First HATER encounter on Highway
Well I have a version of this story, except I was the bad guy, but I think you'll agree it was excuseable
Awhile back (probably back to high school days or somewhere in that time period) I had an eclipse, nothing fancy just a black 1995 eclipse with some nice rims. Anyways I was driving to the mall with a few friends and two young kids in an extremely nice mercedes convertible rolled by with two pretty girls in the back seat. The girls looked over at us and smiled and said something friendly so we said hi back. This was happening during a redlight. The two guys up front proceded to turn around and start saying things like "dont talk to them, look at the kind of car you are driving, pos on wheels, they are poor, etc typically rich snobby kids talk). Now granted normally I would turn the other cheek, but this opportunity was to hard to resist. I happen to have a super-soaker water gun in the car (why I don't know, I think from something earlier in the day) and I proceded to let the two guys up front have it as the light turned green. Needless to say they took off in their expensive mercedes and did not look back.
I don't condone this behavior, and I'd never throw a bottle or something harmfull or even do something like this now that I'm older and wiser (hopefully lol), but it is a funny story to look back on.
But in your situation I agree with most the posters here, the best thing is why waste your time, just be glad it didn't hit your windshield and avoid further confrontation.

just shoot'em!
j/k.
i think its where your at really. born and raised in queens, ny but moved to san diego 6 years ago. here in socal convertibles are more predominant compared to the east coast. so, people are used to seeing cars with their top down because of the weather and don't think they're showing off.

It never ceases to amaze me how fvcked up some people are in this world. The last thought that goes thru my mind is harming someone's property or someone at all. Thankfully, I've never had a situation like yours (or the cigarette in the seat - like BluePearl)... but I can't imagine it.
If you have a problem with ME...take it up with ME... Not my car. But alas, people know that's the one way to really get under a man's skin.
At any rate, super-glad to hear your S is okay and most of all, that you are okay! Remember, in the end, you are better...don't stoop to their level to make a point. Chances are, they won't get the point any damn way.

yeah, try being in an Asian fraternity & driving an s2000. Lots of other Asian fraternity wannabe gangsters are mad that I upgraded from a 92 Accord to a 2006 S2000. I've always tried to be a nice guy, but it doesn't change the attitudes of these guys who think they're bad ass or whatever. They used to think they were better than me cuz I drove an old car. Well, my Accord died and I got a new one...big deal.
Hahaa, I've had to run out of the house twice while taking a #2 just cuz I heard the pre-arming alarm go off on my car. Didn't see anything, but you never know.
