Default flapping softtop

On the freeway at speeds over 60, my rear window is tapping against my rollhoops. Is it possible to have the softtop "tightened"? Or do you think that this may be caused by someother problem. The top does seem to fit a bit looser on the roof supports, I am assuming that the fabric has stretched since I got the car.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Being that yours is an 05, I would have the dealer take a look at it. Sounds more like a defect and less like wear. I have an 03 myself that the top is (unfortunately) up on most of the time and have no such problem.

Yeah, that should not happen at all. Are you sure it's not your seat rubbing on the rollbar hoops because your seat's too far back? Or your didn't lock down the convertible clamps?

No, I've checked both of those. It is a very light popping sound coming from the top at speed. When I put my finger between the glass and rollbar hoops, it stops and I can feel the glass bumping up against my finger. The rear glass does a lot of moving up and down and it sounds like I need to have it checked out.

Check to see if the hoops have opened completely when the roof is up. It may be that there is some resistance in the pivot points that need some lubrication. If the pivots aren't operating freely, the roof hoops might not open completely, leaving some slack in your roof.
