I heard that this thread needed some more input on the situation. Just so you know, mine flashes too

 

Well, Tugz, the point of this thread, from what I can gather, is to see whether or not one's tachometer "flashes" if and when the revs reach the area commonly refered to as "redline." This question arose due in part to the thread starter's observation that JDM S2000s seem to flash several times at redline prior to fuel cut-off. He further stated that his car did not seem to exhibit the same behavior. So, to make a long story short... What were we discussing again?

I have perfected flashing on the third light. does that meen that mine flashes? I think so. Hondas are made to be over revved, I shift my Moms RSX-S at 8400 wanna know why, cause it lets me. Yes the Acura dealer has commented on this and the clutchless shifting. No the RSX does not flash or blink or light up for several short instances.

 

So, nearly seven years later, I do believe that this needs to be revisited....
