Flip key option that works?
So in your research, the only flip switch available on the site is the 2 button fob? That's a huge bummer.
I'm very ill-informed on what makes each key housing compatible. I'm assuming each housing has a component that sends a pre-configured frequency and cannot be reprogrammed (or extremely difficult without the right equipment). If that's the case, nooooooooo00000000000000! So close to finding an upgraded replacement!

Ff you look at the other big switchblade key thread, in there a bunch of guys figured out that our remotes transmit at 433 MHz. The newer Honda remotes (with the flipkeys) transmit at a different frequency. This is why the flipkeys don't work with our car.
What I found on that website was empty flip key shells which can have remote circuit boards transplanted into them. However, our remotes are too long to fit in there. However, there is a "CRV key" on the website with the right size circuit board to be transplanted into an empty flip key shell AND it runs on 433 MHz. Now this is no guarantee that it will work with our car, but it increases the chances of it working.
However, since it's a CRV key, it does not have a trunk pop button on the remote.
So that's the deal. All the other Honda keys that website sells are 315 MHz and 313 MHz.
That website also has different shaped flip key shells, but I picked that one because it looks closest to the OEM flip key, and it's a horizontal flip and not a vertical flip. If you compare it to our normal keys, the horizontal flip keeps the keyhead in the proper orientation.
However, this may be a moot point since they're out of stock of all the 433 MHz remotes currently. They're supposed to get back to me and let me know when they'd be in stock again. And since they are basically a wholesale supplier, their minimum order is 5 keys.
EDIT: They may have some 433 MHz keys... Waiting to find out what Honda it's supposed to be for. Still 2-button though.

from the past! Any engineers want to try this? There's definitely money to be made on this forum for getting an OEM-looking flip key to work for us.
